About Me.

A devoted mother of three beautiful children, she wears many crowns—author, gospel artist, writer, self-love life coach, and the founder of Her Healing Place ministry. She is also the creator of Her Healing Skincare, a line of products designed not only to nourish the skin but to remind women that healing starts from within.

But Jamella’s journey wasn’t always one of triumph. She knows what it means to be broken, rejected, and lost. She has walked through valleys so deep that she wondered if she would ever see the light again. Life’s hardships left her with battle scars—wounds that once seemed like permanent marks of pain. Yet, in her lowest moments, she encountered the One who binds up the brokenhearted (Psalm 147:3). It was Jesus who lifted her from the ashes, whispering to her spirit, “Daughter, you were never meant to stay in the pit. Rise.”

One of the most defining moments of Jamella’s life was finding out that she was adopted. A revelation that could have shattered her instead became a turning point in her faith. Though questions of identity and belonging could have consumed her, God had already placed someone in her life to show her what true, unconditional love looked like—her beloved mother. The woman who raised her wasn’t just a parent; she was a divine assignment, a reflection of God’s heart. It was through her mother’s love and wisdom that Jamella began to understand the power of grace, acceptance, and purpose. Her mother’s prayers, sacrifices, and unwavering faith changed the trajectory of her life and ultimately saved her. It was her mother who showed her that she was not abandoned—she was chosen, not forsaken but fearfully and wonderfully made by God (Psalm 139:14).

Music has always been Jamella’s refuge, a way to express the depths of her soul when words fell short. She began singing at the tender age of five, and from that moment, her voice became an instrument of healing. Through every storm, music became her lifeline, her way of crying out to God and declaring victory over the enemy. Now, as a gospel artist, she pours her heart into songs that bring hope, deliverance, and restoration to others, using her gift to break chains just as God broke hers.

Through abuse, loss, betrayal, and seasons of feeling unseen, Jamella clung to the promises of God. Like the woman with the issue of blood (Luke 8:43-48), she reached for Jesus when nothing else could heal her. And just as He did for that woman, He turned to Jamella and made her whole. Her story is a living reflection of Isaiah 61:3—God has truly given her beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.

The pressure that was meant to break her only shaped her into the diamond she is today. Through Christ, she learned that trials are not meant to destroy us but to refine us, just as gold is tested in fire (1 Peter 1:7). Now, she stands as a vessel of healing, reaching out to women who feel unworthy, unloved, and unseen. She is here to remind them: You are more than your past. You are more than your pain. You are chosen, loved, and set apart by God.

Through Her Healing Place, Jamella creates spaces where women can lay down their burdens and pick up their crowns. She teaches them to embrace their scars as proof of survival, to walk in the confidence of their identity in Christ, and to believe that no wound is too deep for God’s healing touch. Her music speaks of restoration, her writing declares freedom, and her life proclaims the truth that nothing is impossible with God (Luke 1:37).

If you’ve ever felt like you were too broken to be made whole, Jamella is living proof that God specializes in making masterpieces out of shattered pieces. Just as He did for her, He can do for you. You may have been crushed, but remember—diamonds are formed under pressure. God is refining you, shaping you, and preparing you for greater things.

Your story is not over. Your healing is here. And like Jamella, you too can rise.
